Whose side is Ye on?
A short rant on how Kanye’s derisive attacks on Blacks and Jews appear to have been just the beginning.
Ye, the People?
It’s one thing for Kanye (or Ye or whatever rebranding gimmick he thinks he can hide behind) to make a documentary with the also loathsome Candice Owens, another craven individual exploiting the outrage of blacks and minorities that she generates by repeating and supporting the racist conceits and stereotypes of her own race vomited up by individuals who can then claim innocence because of her involvement. This modern day house slave has ridden the derision she leaves in her wake to achieve a modicum of celebrity status, hers being a tier slightly higher than the Octo-mom’s. (Can you tell I don’t like her?)
Or for Kanye to go on the defense of the phrase “White Lives Matter”, when that was never in question nor the point.
Or for Kanye to threaten Jewish people on social media.
Or for Kanye to run for President in 2020, hoping to siphon off voters who aren’t paying attention and are drawn to celebrity from Biden.
Or for people in Kanye’s circle to be accused of terrorizing and harassing election workers in Georgia. The accounts of an elderly black woman being literally chased out of her home and figuratively chased out of the life she knew by a MAGA horde after Trump called her out BY NAME as committing election fraud alongside her daughter as they worked the 2020 election are simply outrageous. The fact that the then Georgian Secretary of State absolved them of any wrong doing again and again and explained that the “evidence” Trump was using to expose them actually exonerates them upon closer, educated inspection means nothing to his followers. Tipped off by the FBI, the woman evacuated her home on January 6th when, just like at our nation’s Capitol building, MAGA “patriots” descended on her property. She remained on the run for months. All of that happening shortly after another episode when a woman working for Ye’s ill-begotten presidential run in 2020 lured the elderly woman out of her home and into the police station, promising protection from the escalating threats on her life only to reveal she was working with the authors of those very threats. No one is surprised that that same woman has also been linked to Donald Trump.
All of that is pretty disturbing but he catapulted to a level beyond those dalliances last week when Kayne decided to introduce the presumptive Republican candidate for POTUS to the white supremacist, Holocaust-denier, attender of the deadly Charlottesville riot, and speaker at a rally before January 6th, Nick Fuentes. (Like Trump didn’t know him already. 🙄)
Kayne has gone from being a pathological contrarian for attention to introducing elements that are patently anti-semetic, anti-democracatic, pro-authoritarian, homophobic, anti-reproductive freedom, and Putin-praising (Fuentes once said that the media compares Putin to Hitler “as if that wasn’t a good thing”) to a man who theoretically could be the next head of the United States. Ye wants them to be playmates.
At what point do we stop writing Kanye off as just a product of mental illness and start recognizing him as the direct and imminent threat to a democratic, diverse, and equitable America that he actually is?
